Terms

All kites are made to order upon receipt of payment, which must be in UK Pounds/GBP ONLY.
Orders are filled and shipped in the order in which payment is received.
Large orders and/or special designs may be started upon receipt of a minimum deposit of 40% (refundable up to the start of the job - after that, non-refundable), but won't be shipped until the balance is received.

We can take credit card payments, but only over the internet using PayPal

We do NOT do wholesale
Everybody pays the same price - no discounts
Everybody waits their turn - first come, first serve
Kites are not started on verbal promises only

Overseas shipping charges are based on "volumetric weights." The exact cost will not be known before making the kites. We will make all kites that are paid for, and then send a second bill for the remainder (delivery) once they are ready for shipping. This may be a minor inconvenience, and so we apologize in advance.
Step 1. Customers purchase kites.
Step 2. Upon completion the delivery is invoiced. This is quite painless thanks to the internet, and does not cost the customer anything (unlike getting a draft from a bank).

Parcels over 1.05m long (ie. my kites) can not be mailed to the USA using Royal Mail Air Parcel Post.

Payment - UK

Within the UK cheques are still the norm; postal money orders are fine; if you have to send cash it must be sent via special delivery or registered mail

Please make cheques, drafts and money orders payable to "Dan Leigh"

To use PayPal for on-line payments using credit cards

Send your order details along with your e-mail address by regular mail or telephone during working hours
We confirm by sending a PayPal invoice by e-mail

PayPal - people without a PayPal account will not need to register

EU Delivery
Default: We use the current least expensive express courier from a selection of those we know to be reliable (insured and trackable)

With the volumetric weight method of charging express deliveries, delivery charges will not be known until an order is made and packed. Therefore an initial invoice will cover the cost of the kite or kites, and the balance (including shipping) will be invoiced through PayPal once the order is completed and packed
Sorry, but kites will be not made until paid for.

Note 1: A telephone number is required when booking express deliveries
Note 2: Insurance cover, where necessary, costs extra - we insure by default
Note 3: In the unlikely event of obvious damage, packages must not be opened - investigators need to assess the package before proceeding with any claims for compensation for damage

Payment - EU

Payment must be in UK pounds

PayPal

With PayPal you can pay on-line in UK Pounds using a credit card, bank card, e-check or e-transfer,
You don't need to have a PayPal account

1. Phone or mail your order in a letter, along with your e-mail address.
2. You will receive a PayPal invoice by e-mail (this will not include the delivery charge)
3. For PayPal Money Requests the delivery address should be the same as the card address

Remember to:

Include the full delivery address along with payment
Please remember to supply a contact phone number for the parcel label

Or use your local Western Union

With Western Union you must provide:

the exact name you used
the amount sent
your city
and the 10 digit money transfer control number.

Bank-to-bank transfers

We do not have the type of bank account required for bank-to-bank money transfers using IBAN and/or SWIFT
As a rule we do not give out our bank account details

With the new volumetric weight shipping charges for express services the delivery cost will not be known until the finished order is packed, so the balance (for delivery) will be invoiced then by PayPal Money Request.

Please remember to include a telephone number along with the delivery address

Express Deliveries - Two Step Payment

With the volumetric-weight method of charging for express deliveries the delivery cost will not be known until the finished order is packed, so an ititial payment for the kite or kites secures an order, and the balance (for delivery) will be invoiced using PayPal after the finished order is packed.

Sorry, kites are not made until paid for.

Use PayPal to pay on-line in UK Pounds (GBP) using a credit card, debit card, e-check or e-transfer - you don't need to open a PayPal account

Internet access is a necessity
Send your order by regular mail including delivery preference and an e-mail address
You will receive a PayPal invoice at your e-mail address for the amount payable not including delivery
The delivery address should be the same as the card address
Be sure to send a contact telephone number - it is required for booking a collection (in case your delivery driver needs help finding you)
